I'm a nurse who became a life coach.  A specialty of mine is coaching people affected by anxiety.  I work especially with  nurses, and also students, professionals, parents, or anyone seeking more calm.

For more than three decades I worked as a nurse -- both as an RN and as a Family Nurse Practitioner.
In my FNP practice, I found that my patients' struggles often went beyond physical issues.  Many people shared difficult personal and professional situations with me that were contributing to their stress and discontent. Some of them were suffering with anxiety and depression.  I've experienced anxiety myself (and at times, depression), so that helped me to understand many of my patients' challenges.  My listening skills helped me to connect with patients and to identify stressors that were adding to or causing their symptoms.  Unfortunately, at the time, I had only a few practical tools to offer or a referral to a therapist.

I completed Life Coach Training with the Martha Beck Institute so that I could do more.  I've combined that training with my own life experience, clients' experiences, and all the reading I've done on the subjects of behavior, neuroscience, and positive psychology.  The result is a powerful coaching program that will help anyone feel better and make positive, lasting changes in their lives.  I use these same tools myself, every day of my life, and my experience with anxiety has completely transformed!  I feel better than I ever have.  You can too!  Note however that my coaching program is not only applicable to anxiety;  it can prepare you to address strained relationships (personal or professional), or to break out of negative patterns, or to move beyond old limits.

I must add that life coaching is not a substitute for medical treatment or therapy for a mental health issue.

My coaching sessions involve examining your thinking and focusing upon how to manage your thoughts.  (Refer to my page about the STEER Framework for more information.)  Again and again in my experience, this approach has proven to be a powerful way to have more of what you want and less of what you don't want in your life.

I invite you to schedule a free Mini-Session today and begin to rethink, refocus, and refresh your life!
